One year since our laundry makeover & this has to be my favourite part! 🛁
Following a spectacular comedy performance @bassem showed everyone which colours SHOULD be displayed at the Sydney Opera House! What a show! In his words…‘They lit up the outside, but we are on the INSIDE, the heart of it!’. A great stand for justice & let’s just say hubby & I left the show with throbbing cheekbones from all the laughter. It’s been a while since we’ve laughed like this, thank you @bassem! Share this video & tag everyone you know!🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸
When will this end? When is it enough? How many more innocent lives need to end? Questions we keep asking ourselves but we MUST keep fighting. I know we may think it isn’t doing anything but our voices ARE making a difference! Keep protesting! Keep your flags waving! Keep watching & sharing! Keep using your platforms for the truth! Keep praying!
Over 100,000 people attended todays protest in Sydney! An amazing turnout - let’s hope our collective voices are heard. Our flags will keep waving until there is a ceasefire & an end to the G3N0CIDE! 🇵🇸
A few weeks back I was thinking of a way of storing/displaying my prayer essentials in a way that was practical for myself as well as guests. I was sick of my satin prayer sets being so creased as I usually store them in a large basket by my armchair, then the prayer beads go in a seperate drawer & the prayer mat is left folded on the arm of the chair. I am so happy with this new method as everything is in one spot & it’s easy to move it all to another spot if needed.
This image is forever embedded in my memory from 23 years ago. When @mamaghanouj_kitchen shared the story of Mohammed & Jamal Al-Dura the other day, all the memories of this footage came crashing back. I was young & remember my dad, mum, Aunty & grandmother all watching this footage as it aired in September 2000. I felt fear, confusion & sadness but i vividly remember my dad yelling at the TV in anger & mum in tears. I can’t imagine what little Muhammad must have felt in the moments leading up to his murder. Seeing his father waving for help with no avail, seeing the help right across the road but unable to reach it. I can’t imagine his father, holding his son dying in his arms. Helpless & weak.
